Good books inspire a love of reading and build reading competency. A good book encourages curiosity and interest in the world. Curiosity and interest fires-up imagination and imagination can turn into dreams and hopes. Thousands of young readers, pre-K through middle school, get their own new book from Assistance League. Sometimes these are the only book in their home.
