Philanthropic Programs > Book Bank

With an eye to the future, Assistance League's Book Bank program promotes literacy by reading to and giving books to pre-school children enrolled in Head Start, other agencies and at community events. More than 7,000 books found a new home and a special place in the heart of a child because of Book Bank last year.

In a new outreach effort, Book Bank now provides batteries, audio systems and multi-sensory kits for the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind.

For the past three years, Assistance League has actively participated in the Salt Lake Book Festival at the main library, reading stories to children and providing hundreds of books to take home.
