Volunteers Serving Our Community
Assistance League of Salt Lake City gladly welcomes all those who are willing to use their talents, skills, generosity and time in service to our community. We currently sponsor eight philanthropic programs (two under the Consociates Auxiliary) that fulfill our mission - to serve children and adults in our community through hands-on philanthropic programs.
Members are responsible for performing all the duties associated with running an organization and fulfilling its mission. Therefore, we not only manage and run our charitable programs, but also provide the leadership and structure to run a $2 million dollar organization, solely on volunteer power. In this, we are unique!
Active members complete a Nova orientation of approximately 5 months learning about the organization and simultaneously helping with our programs and Thrift on 33rd duties. Active members are responsible for only 78 hours of service per year--39 in the Thrift on 33rd and 39 working on programs. Dues are $60 year. Membership invests power to manage and operate the organization in a 15-member Board (consisting of elected, active members) and votes on decisions at regular membership meetings.
Join our lively, fun group and meet your next best friend!
